Description

Percival Lowell wrote a famous book in 1906, Mars and its canals. An influence on ERB's Barsoom series with the speculation these were the remnants of canals built by some dead civilization. I guess its disproven but I still love the mystery of it. Thy probably were just these natural grooves made by water or ice at some point.

The Lowell Observatory was not far from here to the west in Flagstaff.
